MASKING PRODUCT
SHARPSEAL TECHNICAL DATA SHEET
SHARPSEAL is a fast dry solvent stop-off lacquer or liquid maskant
that can be applied by brush, dip, or spray to the surface to be
masked. SHARPSEAL with a 45-50 sec. #2 Zahn Cup viscosity at 75F
enables a fine hairline demarcation. SHARPSEAL can be used in most
plating cycles. Under normal ambient conditions parts can enter the
plating cycle within 45 minutes to an hour. For more severe process
conditions additional coats may be applied after adequate solvent
flash off. Cure may be accelerated by increasing ambient temperature.
After drying of the final process rinse, SHARPSEAL may be removed in
minutes using SHARPSEAL STRIPPER/REDUCER.
SHARPSEAL has an easy to detect red color to enable easy
determination of application location, detection of inadvertent
application and completeness of removal. Coverage is about 450
sq./gal.
SHARPSEAL is a flammable liquid and is available in 1 gal., 5 gal., and
55 gal containers.
