PROCOAT
MASKING PRODUCT
TECHNICAL DATA SHEET
PROCOAT is a fast dry general purpose solvent stop-off lacquer or
liquid maskant that can be applied by brush, dip or spray to the
surface to be masked. Under normal ambient conditions parts may
then enter the plating cycle within 30-45 minutes. After drying of
the final process rinse PROCOAT is removed in minutes using
PROCOAT STRIPPER/REDUCER.
PROCOAT is red in color to enable easy determination of
application location, detection of inadvertent application, and
completeness of removal.
PROCOAT with a 32-37 sec.#2 Zahn Cup viscosity is the lowest
viscosity of the MASKCOAT stop-off product line which enables speed
in application and removal with approximatly 550 sq.ft./gal.
PROCOAT is usually the first maskant option for the less demanding
cycles due to this speed and economy.
Depending on plating process requirements, more than one coat of
PROCOAT may be applied after adequate solvent flash off. Cure
may be accelerated by increasing ambient temperature.
PROCOAT is a flammable liquid and is available in 1 gal, 5gal, and 55
gal containers.
